1975 Porcelain Commemoratives Made for the National Show

Color:
Harvest Gold
Front Embossing:
6TH NIA CCONVENTION
SAN DIEGO, CALIF
JULY 11-13, 1975
Back Marking:
SERIAL NO 048 of 500
[The "048" is ink stamped on an unglazed rectangular spot of the insulator with the rest of the marking embossed.  Other insulators would have been stamped with a different number]
Quantity Made:
500

Although 500 were made, I doubt 500 were sold.  The glass N.IA. Commemoratives were more popular and less than 350 of these were being made in 1975.  This is probably why only 277 light blue commemoratives were made in 1976 followed by a continued decline in the numbers made in subsequent years.

Notes:
The serial number shown here is part of a complete set once owned by Constance Brown.

The certificate for this year was also gold colored.  This particular one lists the 048 serial number but not the name of the owner.

The original price of these was $8.
