1977 Porcelain Commemoratives Made for the National Show

Color:
Light Green
Front Embossing:
8TH NIA CONVENTION
LAKELAND, FLA.
JULY 15-17, 1977
Back Marking:
048

[The "048" is incised on an unglazed circular spot.  Other insulators would have been stamped with a different number.  Some of these may have no marking at all on the back.]

Quantity Made:
150
Notes:
Except for a serial number added to special serial number orders received before May 1, 1977, the back embossing was eliminated on these insulators to keep the price the same as before.  These were sold for $8.00 plus $1.50 postage (Alumbaugh 1977, p. 8).

The serial number shown here is part of a complete set once owned by Constance Brown.

The certificate for this year was also green colored.  This particular one lists the 048 serial number and the name of Constance Brown as the owner.
