Only child of Philip Warrington McAbee (1880-1948) and Mintie Carroll Hemingray McAbee (1880-1947). 

This gravestone is sandwiched between his parent's stones in a cemetery in Beach Grove Cemetary, Muncie, Indiana. 

Since Philip McAbee ran the operations at the Hemingray Glass Company in the 1920s and 1930s, perhaps Ralph would have taken over management of the plant when his father retired or died rather than the plant being sold to Owens-Illinois in 1933.  Philip McAbee was in his 40s when he was the general manager of the plant.  Baby Ralph would have just turned 40 when his father died.
